Methodology & Benefits

At STA Conseils, I apply an approach inspired by the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, in accordance with the ISO 31000 standard and the teaching of the ESA (École Supérieure d'Assurances).

The main stages:

  1. Context analysis
    Understanding your environment, your objectives, your stakeholders and your internal and external challenges.

  2. Risk identification
    Through a structured interview, a business checklist and the review of key documents, we identify all risks together: strategic, human, operational, technical, legal, financial, etc.

    The analysis is carried out by activities and processes, to stick as closely as possible to the reality of your business.

  3. Risk assessment
    Each risk is assessed based on its probability of occurrence and potential impact. This allows them to be classified by level of criticality.

  4. Risk treatment
    Implementation of appropriate measures: prevention, reduction, transfer (insurance) or acceptance, according to your priorities and your means.

  5. Monitoring and continuous improvement
    Provision of an up-to-date risk register, which may change over time. Possibility of regular monitoring.

The method I use is based on the ERM framework, but it is neither an audit nor an ISO certification process.
It is an internal management tool, structured, simple and adapted to your reality as an entrepreneur.
